Designed by acclaimed naval architects Sparkman and Stephens, the yacht will astound you with her performance and craftsmanship. The Chicago T-10 fleet is the largest one-design fleet in Chicago. There is always a need for crew and most boats are willing to teach you how. There are courses... but the best way to get started sailing is to START SAILING!

CYC Race to Mackinac Safety Update
With Matt Gallagher
Saturday, February 23
9:00 am to Noon at Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club
Cost: Nothin! Zip! Nada! Free!
Coffee and breakfast treats will be available to attendees
This seminar features Shelly Galligan, USCG 100 ton rated Captain and Registered Nurse to talk about ways to effectively prevent and respond to head bashing, eye gouging, barfing, burning, butts and guts injuries on the water. Learn to supply your sailboat correctly and to use items found on your boat to assist in treating injuries. You will learn techniques and the resulting confidence to handle medical emergencies onboard.
Shelly has 25 years of Emergency Room experience and a wealth of experience, racing, cruising and delivering boats across the Caribbean and the Pacific. Shelly wants to share the knowledge she has developed and share it with people who are as enthusiastic about being on the water as she.
Matt Gallagher will also be joining us to discuss changes to the CYC Race to Mackinac safety regulations and (probably) provide an update on CYC’s PFD investigation. Matt is a member of the CYC Race to Mackinac Committee and a member of the US Sailing Safety-at-Sea committee.
